A fire door is a complete safety system rather than simply a door leaf. Its performance depends on the correct specification and installation of the frame, hinges, intumescent and smoke seals, glazing, ironmongery, self-closing device and surrounding structure. Even minor defects, excessive gaps or unsuitable alterations can affect the door’s ability to perform as intended.

We install new fire door sets, including flat entrance doors, communal doors, internal doors and replacement frames. Every installation is completed by trained personnel in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and the applicable certification requirements. We carefully check the door gaps, seals, hinges, closing action, latch and ironmongery before completion, ensuring the door closes fully and operates correctly.

Our team also inspects and maintains existing fire doors. Depending on the condition of the door, remedial work may include adjusting or replacing closers, renewing damaged seals, repairing frames, correcting excessive gaps, replacing unsuitable hinges or ironmongery and ensuring the door closes securely into the frame. Where a door cannot be repaired effectively, we can provide a suitable replacement.

We can undertake individual inspections, planned programmes across multiple properties and repair works identified during third-party fire risk assessments. Clear records of completed works can also be provided where required.
